Living and Singing in Phoenix

Hello!


I am a jazz singer in Phoenix, AZ. Welcome to my site! I will be posting music downloads from my current CD, Arizona Nights. It features vocals and jazz guitar.

Currently, I work as a music educator at a metro Phoenix school district by day, and freelance evenings as a vocalist, pianist, and lead guitarist; live and studio work. My repetoire consists of over 475 songs, and I enjoy entertaining crowds. I have over 15 years experience singing professionally in bands as as a soloist, and venues include arts festivals, clubs, upscale restaurants, and more formal venues, including Scottsdale Center For The Arts, Scottsdale, Arizona,and Chandler Center For The Arts, in Chandler, Arizona.

I am an accomplished composer and songwriter as well. I started composing at age 10, the same year I started studying piano. I am a published member of the American Society of Authors, Composers, and Publishers, and the following is a list of my compositions:

470 pop, rock, folk, and jazz songs
20 art songs
25 choral octavos, SATB and SA
74 liturgical songs
10 chamber works for string quartet; 5 violin solos with piano accompaniment
20 guitar solos with accompaniment
5 mandolin solos with accompaniment
28 piano solos, including etudes, nocturnes and sonatas

I have performed for state fairs, and have been in bands as a vocalist, guitarist, and pianist, performing various types of music for over 15 years. The jazz bands I have played in as a pianist and guitarist have entered regional competitions, and have been adjudicated with superior and excellent ratings.
